What happens in the dark

Wolf kissed F'letia deeply, eyes closed but mind elsewhere.

Both of their clothes lay discarded along the floor of the auditorium, which was closed for the day, meaning it was quiet, empty, and dark. A perfect place for a secret meeting. He and F'letia had a "professional" relationship, strictly symbiotic on both parts. F'letia had a boyfriend, but was becoming sexually frustrated lately, and had been practically begging for Wolf to ease into the situation. Wolf was looking for nothing more than a fling. She was just the distraction he needed from the rest of his life. Everything about her piqued Wolf's already heightened senses. Everything. The way she smelled, the way her lips tasted, the sound of her voice...everything about her dragged him closer to her.

No strings attached, no questions. Just sex, and just the way he liked it.

Wolf's ears perked up as he heard a door open, but, ignoring his instincts, he ignored it and continued kissing F'letia.

I waddled through the hallways to find Wolf, when I found out that the auditorium doors were opened, I looked inside. And knew that my instincts that Wolf was in here, but I heard kissing, when I turned on the auditorium lights, WOLF WAS IN THE ROOM NAKED! My mouth was wide open, WOLF! I'M PREGNANT AND YOU ARE CHEATING ON ME WITH THAT BITCH!!! WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU!!! I screamed and then walked away, half running crying my eyes out. I had to find An, I knew she had to. He got me prego, and this is how he repaid me.

Wolf's eyes snapped open like he'd been shot. "Kaitlyn?! Shit, come back!"

He hurriedly removed himself from F'letia's side and rushed to put his pants back on as Kaitlyn staggered out of the auditorium, crying audibly. "Shit, shit, shit..." he cursed to himself as he tripped out into the hallway, still struggling to put his clothes on. "Kaitlyn, wait!!" He couldn't believe this was happening. He hadn't meant for her to ever find out. He hadn't wanted to hurt her.

His heart beat frantically in his ears as he called out to her again and again, repeating incessantly how sorry he was.

I went to sit down on a ledge that is next to the window and cried. Why, why did he have to leave me and cheat on me again? I thought to myself. I felt a kick in my stomach, and I put my hand and rubbed it. Its okay, daddy deserved us. I thought to myself.

"Kaitlyn, I said I'm-" Wolf began, stopping himself as he finally found her.

His throat felt dry as he walked towards her, running a finger through his hair with an apologetic frown on his face. For a moment he just stood there as she cried, something within him restraining him from going any closer. He looked down at the ground, truly sorry for what he had done, but unable to express it with words. How could he? There was no way he could say how sorry he was.

No way to undo the damage he had caused.

"Kaitlyn..." He began, speaking from his heart for the first time. "...I'm so sorry. I missed my old life and how our relationship used to be, before all the nightmares and thoughts about our future. I guess I was just...scared of what it would mean. I want to be with you, I always have. I just have a funny way of showing it, I guess. And I know you'll probably never forgive me for what I've done, and nothing I say can ease your pain, but I just want you to know that I still love you, and I'm so...so sorry."

He rested his hand against her cheek gently before turning to walk away.

I felt him as he put his hand on my cheek, I took his hand. What could I say, he said he loves me. Why? Why did you have to do this to me? You know I'm pregnant, and you are the father. And you just leave me for that girl that you don't even know. I sobbed. I could've embraced him, but I stood there frozen to the floor. I took my other hand and touched his face. I made him leaned forward, and kissed him. I loved him.

Wolf kissed Kaitlyn deeply, moving his hand down her body to her stomach, which his fingers gently caressed.

"I was just...frustrated, y'know? More at myself than anyone else. I missed the fire that our relationship started out with. Not just the sex, but that connection we used to have. Settling down, raising a family...I never wanted anything like that. But now..." He kissed her again. "...I'm done with that old life. I love you so much. I want to start a new life...with you. "

...he made a face. "...even if it means no sex for a while."

I looked at him, I understand. I said. Then I walked back towards passed the auditorium, and onto almost to the lunchroom. Another kick in my stomach, but I knew that my child was hungry. And so was I. I smiled to myself. Then walked towards the lunch room and sat at the table.

Wolf followed Kait into the lunchroom, where a basket of apples lay in wait on one of the counters. Snatching one nimbly, he munched on the fruit casually as he sat across from Kaitlyn. The apple was green, and still a bit sour, just like Wolf's personality. He liked these apples best, to be honest. Instead of just being completely sweet and red, these still have a bit of tanginess, a bit of bite to them.

He could respect that kind of bite.

Wolf nudged Kait's foot under the table. "So...has the nurse given you a due date yet?"

I looked over at Wolf. She said that I might be due 3-4 months. I said to him. Then I grabbed a small peach and start nibbling on it. Just hopefully that it is what I want. I looked over at Wolf with this curious look on my face, Wolf, who is that girl? I asked him.

Wolf frowned and turned away from Kaitlyn's curious gaze, unable to meet her eyes with his own. He could say what he was feeling was shame, but how could that be possible if he didn't completely regret his secret encounters with her? So what was he feeling? Regret? A bit of anger at himself for not being more careful and allowing himself to be caught?

Or was it just his body's way of payback for betraying his mate?

As he had only just recently began hooking up with F'letia, he knew very little about her, for example, what her real name was. She refused to give him her real name, asking instead what he wanted to call her. Wolf had rolled his eyes. An old pornstar trick. The guy picks the sexiest name he can think of, and calls her that in replacement of her real name. She remains anonymous, and the pleasure peaks. Everybody wins.

"...she's no one." Wolf replied defensively, finishing his apple and tossing the remains into a nearby waste bin.

"Don't worry, I'm done with her."

I looked at him, almost angry. I don't think so, you are still with her. Wolf, I'm not stupid. And you know it. I almost squashed my peach in my hand, I had anger in my body. But it wasn't me, it was the baby. The baby wants to get out of me. I quickly put my hand over my pregnant belly, I groaned painfully. I squashed my peach in one hand, WOLF! I'M IN LABOR! I half screamed. I knew that the nurse was wrong.

"Holy shit, are you kidding me?! Now?!" Wolf shouted incredulously.

"Shit...wheelchair, fucking wheelchair..." He repeated numbly. His eyes darted back and forth wildly across the cafeteria until he spotted a storage room on the far wall. He sprinted for it and flung the door open, breathing a sigh of relief as he saw exactly what he was looking for. He pulled one of the wheelchairs out and pushed it to Kaitlyn's side, helping her get into the seat gently.

"Don't worry, I'll get you to the nurse. You'll be fine. Everything's going to be fine." He said soothingly, even though he wasn't sure how much of that was true. After all, Kaitlyn had just told him that the cubs weren't supposed to be due for another few months. What did such an early delivery mean? Would they be born with any deformities? Would there be any problems during Kaitlyn's labor? Or worse...

...would trying to deliver too early result in a miscarriage of their children?
